constructed toilets. As urban areas expand, the problem is getting worse.
Pressure on existing facilities is building and there is a widely-perceived
lack of investment.
Drought-weakened animals dying in Niger
Animals weakened by months of drought were unable to escape
drowing in heavy rains at the beginning of the wet season. Many families in
Niger lost animals this year because of the droughts and lack of government
